EduVenue™ Terms of Use

EduVenue™ is a trading name of Captain Thinking Ltd Company No: 16568038, registered in England & Wales. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

EduVenue™ is a booking and coordination platform that connects schools, organisers, parents, and carers for wraparound childcare and after school clubs. EduVenue™ does not directly operate or supervise clubs. We provide the system, tools, and support.

Our platform supports three core user types:

• Schools – list spaces, approve organisers, and receive rental income.
   
• Organisers/Providers – rent space, run clubs, and receive bookings from parents.
   
• Parents/Carers – book and pay for clubs for children already enrolled at a participating school.
   

Substitute educators may also use the platform.

• Remain responsible for safeguarding, site supervision, and health & safety.
   
• Ensure hired organisers meet school policies.
   
• Approve or reject bookings in line with your safeguarding obligations.
   

• Must hold valid DBS, insurance, and safeguarding policies.
   
• Run clubs safely and in line with school policies.
   
• Upload compliance documents on request.
   
• Are solely responsible for the delivery of their club.
   

• May only book clubs for children enrolled at that school.
   
• Must provide accurate information (e.g. medical or allergy notes).
   
• Are responsible for attending booked sessions or cancelling within policy timelines.
   

EduVenue™ provides the booking and payment system. We:

• Collect payments on behalf of schools and organisers.
   
• Deduct a small commission and transfer the balance.
   
• Provide compliance tools (document uploads, reminders).
   
• Provide support by email only.
   

EduVenue™ does not:

• Operate, supervise, or staff clubs.
   
• Guarantee safeguarding, insurance, or organiser performance.
   
• Accept liability for loss, injury, or damage arising from use of school facilities.
   

• Parents pay online at the time of booking.
   
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe Connect.
   
• EduVenue deducts a commission before transferring funds to schools and organisers.
   
• Refunds are subject to the cancellation policy of the relevant school or organiser.
   

• Schools and organisers set their own cancellation rules.
   
• Parents must check the specific policy before booking.
   
• EduVenue™ facilitates refunds where required but is not responsible for refund decisions.
   

• Organisers must upload evidence of DBS, safeguarding, and insurance.
   
• Schools remain responsible for approving organisers.
   
• EduVenue™ stores compliance records but does not certify or guarantee them.

• EduVenue™ is a facilitator only.
   
• Schools and organisers remain responsible for their own compliance, safeguarding, and insurance.
   
• EduVenue™ is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from clubs, activities, or the use of school facilities.
   

EduVenue™ may suspend or terminate any user account that breaches these Terms, including non-compliance with safeguarding or payment obligations.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
